COMPANY

Engineering vision into operational awareness.

OHMARIS is a Berlin-based defence technology initiative developing platform-integrated electro-optical surveillance systems for demanding operational environments.

Our work brings together electronics, mechanical engineering, embedded software and platform integration as supporting capabilities within this single core focus.

A new engineering organisation for military electro-optics.

We develop modular electro-optical surveillance architectures intended for integration across land, air, maritime, unmanned and fixed platforms.

The company is being built around a multidisciplinary engineering approach that connects optical sensing, electronics, embedded processing, software, mechanical design and platform integration.

Our objective is to develop technically disciplined, modular and reliable platform-integrated sensing systems.

OHMARIS is currently in its development and establishment phase. Product configurations, capabilities and compliance claims remain subject to engineering validation and programme requirements.

MISSION

To develop reliable platform-integrated electro-optical surveillance architectures that improve observation and situational awareness across land, air, maritime, unmanned and fixed applications.

VISION

To build a recognised European engineering organisation known for technical discipline, modular system design and long-term reliability in electro-optical surveillance.

How OHMARIS intends to build.

01Systems ThinkingOptical, electronic, mechanical and software disciplines are developed as one integrated system.
02Engineering DisciplineDesign decisions are documented, reviewed and evaluated against defined technical objectives.
03Modular IntegrationArchitectures are developed with future platform-specific mechanical, power, data and software interfaces in mind.
04Responsible DevelopmentPerformance, compliance and qualification claims are published only after appropriate engineering validation.
05Long-Term ReliabilityDesign decisions prioritise maintainability, integration stability and lifecycle considerations rather than short-term demonstration value.

Multidisciplinary engineering, developed as one system.

Our engineering organisation brings together electronics, mechanical design, embedded software and system integration.

The disciplines work within a common system architecture rather than as isolated development functions.

01

Electronics Design

Electronic architecture, PCB development, power electronics, sensing interfaces and platform communications.

02

Mechanical Design

Sensor housing, structural integration, optical alignment, thermal considerations and platform mounting.

03

Software & Embedded Systems

System architecture, engineering design and design authority remain with OHMARIS.

Based in Berlin. Developed with a European outlook.

OHMARIS is being established in Berlin, Germany.

OHMARIS is being built within Berlin’s engineering and technology ecosystem.

The company intends to contribute to European and allied defence requirements through responsible technical development, modular system architecture and long-term engineering capability.

Berlin provides access to an international technology environment, academic institutions, engineering talent and the wider European defence and security ecosystem.

Talat Göktug Dere

Founder & Technical Director

Talat Göktug Dere founded the company after developing electronic hardware for military electro-optical platforms and contributing to systems that progressed into active operational use.

His experience in PCB design, embedded hardware, power electronics, industrial communication interfaces, EMI/EMC-aware engineering and system integration helped shape the company’s multidisciplinary development approach.

The company is being built around an engineering organisation rather than an individual. Electronics, mechanical design, software and system integration teams work together with specialist industrial partners to develop complete electro-optical surveillance architectures.

Due to confidentiality and defence-industry restrictions, specific programme names, customers, platform identities and technical details are not disclosed.
FOUNDER STATEMENT

“Military systems do not earn trust through promises. They earn it through disciplined engineering and repeatable performance in the field.”

ARGUS EO-1

ARGUS EO-1 is OHMARIS’s initial multi-domain electro-optical surveillance development concept.

The programme explores multi-spectral observation, embedded processing, stabilisation and modular platform integration across land, air, maritime, unmanned and fixed applications.

Final configuration, specifications and capabilities remain subject to engineering development, testing and programme requirements.
